Dress Code/Attire for Dance Classes
All students are required to have the proper dance attire and shoes by the fourth week of class. Street shoes are not permitted in any dance room. Shirts with explicit logos, gum and dangling jewelry are not permitted. Hair must be tied back and off the face. We will be strictly enforcing the dress code. Any child that shows up for class wearing improper attire, at the teacher’s discretion will be told to sit for that class duration. Listed below you will find an outline of Shining Starz Dance Center’s Dress Code. If you have any further questions, please speak with Miss Sandy.

Etiquette/Conduct/Studio Rules
- All dancers, parents, and staff members must treat each other with respect, kindness and professionalism. Negative behavior, bullying, or inappropriate language will not be tolerated.
- Cell phones must be turned off or put on silent and left in the designated storage area in the front office during class time to minimize distractions.
- Only water bottles that are “leak proof” will be allowed in the dance rooms. Slushies, fountain sodas, energy drink cans and coffee drinks will not be allowed to be brought in by students. There is a filtered water bubbler station in the hallway to re-fill your leak proof water bottle.
- To ensure a safe and healthy environment for all dancers and families, the use or possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia, nicotine, alcohol, or vaping devices is not permitted anywhere on studio property, including the parking lot/parking garage or at any studio-sponsored event held off studio grounds. Any violation of this policy may result in immediate dismissal from the studio and/or further disciplinary action. We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a positive and welcoming space for our dance community.
- Dancers are responsible for keeping the waiting area and common areas clean. Water bottles, dance bags and personal belongings must be placed in designated cubbies and not on the floor or on chairs.
- Our studio has a shared restroom; we ask all dancers and families to be courteous and leave the space clean for the next person. Please dispose of trash and feminine products properly, keep personal belongings with you, and treat the facilities with care. Together, we can help maintain a clean and respectful environment for everyone
- All students must remain in the waiting area until their instructor calls them into the dance room. At the end of class, the instructor will dismiss them into the waiting area. Students are not allowed to leave the building by themselves. Parents and guardians are asked not to enter the dance room while class is in session.
- The studio reserves the right to dismiss any student or family who fails to comply with studio policies or exhibits behavior that is disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe.
Thank you for helping the Shining Starz Staff create a better dance environment for all our dancers!
